As a healthcare professional it’s important that we have a strong national and international association that honors and protects the rights of chiropractors, their art, science and philosophy. For me, the science evidence and ethics are paramount. ICA has been the sponsor for radiology and chiropractic practice best practices guidelines. It offers diplomates in multiple specialty types including my board certification in chiropractic biophysics.

I am honored to be a Lifetime member of the ICA.  It is incredible to be part of this association of doctors who are philosophically aligned with the belief we that we are a drugless profession. A huge benefit has been the camaraderie of some of the most principled and successful doctors of chiropractic.  I have colleagues throughout the world.  I feel so fortunate to be an ICA member.

The ICA is the single International Chiropractic Organization that is working to maintain the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.  They strive to advance our profession through research and legislatively represent us at WA DC to continue expanding our right to practice.  As an ICA member, the value of membership comes from knowing there is a skilled team working to spread chiropractic throughout the world while maintaining the core and the heart of chiropractic.  Now is the time, more than ever, to get involved; whether it’s time, treasure or talent.  We all need to step up to the plate and support our leadership for the good of our profession!

The ICA also provides weekly line up webinars, newsletters, seminars, the five councils which are vital to our profession, and endless other resources that I can use in practice which has been vital to the success of our practice and as an individual provider.  The value the ICA brings to my practice and to the chiropractic profession at large is great enough that I have become a lifetime ICA member.

The ICA is the backbone of chiropractic and upholds and protects the principles that are core fundamentals to the patients I serve.  I love the ICA!

I joined the ICA shortly after graduating in 1981 and I have been grateful for an International Chiropractic Organization that supports the core of Chiropractic – Subluxation based care.  I am a firm believer of the interference free model of health and I am part of my Father’s practice of 60 years of miraculous healing with that model.  It is critical to me to have an organization who supports that foundational core and will continue to grow that opportunity for our patients and family for full health expression.

The ICA also has developed post education programs in Pediatrics and the Craniocervical Junction to name a couple with exceptional course work and recognizing these specialties in many states. Also, the ICA has always stepped up for legal battles for Chiropractic.  Without the ICA’s support we would have been blurred into some nonsense of a profession.  When patients come to see me they expect results – not drugs and that’s a significant factor for all of us who realize drugs are not the answer.  When is the cause of pain the lack of a drug?

I remain immeasurably grateful for an International Chiropractic organization that supports “Chiropractic”

The ICA is my tribe.  It supports the science, art and philosophy of Chiropractic. There is not a movement by the ICA to change the profession to prescribe drugs. The ICA always provides the resources necessary to maneuver through my Chiropractic world to substantiate what Chiropractic is. It is my philosophical home and protector of my precious profession.

I have been involved since becoming a student member of the ICA in 1993. As a second generation Chiropractor, the guidance from my father was invaluable, but the experiences with the ICA. there after also played a big role in shaping my life and my career. Although there have been far too many moments, situations and unbelievable circumstances for which I could fill an entire book, I will highlight only a few but magnificent moments which stand out.

I have the honor of being a founding member of the council on fitness and sports health science since 1994, a branch of the I.C.A., which in turn, I have had the opportunity to be surrounded by some of the greatest doctors of Chiropractic, as well as celebrities and professional athletes from around the globe. Of course this organization brought me the great honor of working with the late Dr. Coralee Van Egmond, who taught me “love, tolerance and sacrifice” for the ICA which I hope I may one day emulate.

In 1995 I had the opportunity to charter The S.C.A. (Southern Chiropractic Assn.) a branch of the I.C.A. with the late Dr. Joe Acurso, who taught me “to lead by example” and many others D.C.’s of whom I admire. Then on April 9th, 2016 I became Distinguished Fellow of the I.C.A., an honor for which no words can describe.  March 3rd, 2016 is when I found myself on stage with “him” Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger presenting me with the 2016 I.C.A. Sports health science Chiropractor of the Year!

The impact the I.C.A. has had in my life, the life of my family, my patients and my staff has been far reaching and cannot be expressed in one testimonial!
