Dr. Deed Harrison Receives 2021 ICA Chiropractor of the Year Award

April 22, 2021 (Falls Church, VA) The International Chiropractors Association (ICA) is pleased to announce that lifetime member, Dr. Deed Harrison of Ideal Health Spine Center, Eagle, Idaho has been awarded the organization’s highest honor, the ICA Chiropractor of the Year for 2021.  Dr. Harrison, a 1996 graduate of Life West Chiropractic College, is a globally recognized leader in chiropractic research.  He has developed and researched original spinal rehabilitation procedures and has lectured to thousands of Chiropractors and other Physicians in hundreds of post-graduate educational conferences world-wide.  Dr. Harrison, a second-generation chiropractor, has authored 100 peer-reviewed spine research papers and four spine textbooks.  Dr. Harrison previously practiced in Nevada where he served on the Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada as well as serving as the Assembly Representative to the ICA from Nevada.

Additionally, Dr. Deed Harrison is the President of Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) Technique & Seminars, as well as the CBP Nonprofit, Inc.- a spinal research foundation. Dr. Harrison is a manuscript reviewer for several peer-reviewed Spine journals including: Spine, Clinical Biomechanics, Clinical Anatomy, Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the European Spine Journal, BMC Complimentary Alternative Medicine, and BMC Musculo-Skeletal Disorders. Dr. Harrison is a member to the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS).  He is the acting Chair of the PCCRP Chiropractic Radiography Guidelines.

Professor Hugo V. Gibson, DC, President of the Distinguished Fellows of the ICA provided, “To be nominated for the Chiropractor of the Year is an honor all by itself. To be elected by the members of the Distinguished Fellows of the ICA to be the Chiropractor of the Year is indeed a very special honor.  It is the highest honor that a chiropractor can be accorded in the world.  Sincere congratulations to Dr. Deed Harrison on having been elected as the 2021 ICA Chiropractor of the Year.”

About the Award:  The ICA Chiropractor of the Year Award was created by ICA’s Founder Dr. BJ Palmer in 1950 and presented annually to one exceptional individual who has distinguished themselves throughout their career through extraordinary service to the ICA and the chiropractic profession.  Its recipient is elected during the annual meeting of the Distinguished Fellows of the ICA held in conjunction with the Association’s annual meetings.
