January 20, 2020 (Falls Church, VA) This week, Dr. Stephen P. Welsh, Interim Chairman of the Board of International Chiropractors Association (ICA), sent a congratulatory letter to Dr. Carlos Ayres, the newly elected President of the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC). Dr. Ayres of Lima, Peru, brings significant leadership experience to the WFC.

The International Chiropractors Association is a founding member of the WFC and looks forward to working with Dr. Ayres and member countries on chiropractic issues in which we are aligned. These areas include raising awareness of the benefits of chiropractic care globally; increasing access to chiropractic care and chiropractic education; increasing opportunities for chiropractic students and recent graduates; and increasing research resources for basic science and clinical chiropractic research.
