ChiroHealthUSA Foxworth Family Scholarship
The Foxworth Family Chiropractic Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students currently enrolled in Chiropractic College. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making an impact in their communities and the profession.
The Foxworth Family Chiropractic Scholarship is fully funded by ChiroHealthUSA and was established in honor of President Dr. Ray Foxworth’s parents, Dr. Betty Pace Mathews and Dr. Charles Vernon Mathews. In 2021, ChiroHealthUSA announced that they would be awarding the scholarship in memory of Dr. Tom Klapp. Dr. Klapp was a Board member of the Michigan Chiropractic Foundation, served as a Trustee for Life University, and served on The Chiropractic Summit since its inception on behalf of Life University, and was a Board member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. Dr. Klapp was a founding member of OneChiropractic, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting drugless chiropractic. He helped shape ChiroCongress’ 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2019 and the Future of Chiropractic Forum where the strategic plan project was launched. As a champion of this effort, he joined the Strategic Plan Committee in 2020 and diligently worked to ensure a transparent and inclusive process. His love for the profession, his family, and his colleagues was evident in all his endeavors. ChiroHealthUSA will award $15,000 to the recipient of the scholarship and an additional $10,000 donation to the chiropractic college in which the student is enrolled.
